Ever had a dream where in it, you are dreaming? I have had a few but they are usually nightmarish - I know I'm dreaming and try to wake up repeatedly but when I do, I'm still dreaming. The nightmare part is over the anxiety I have because I can't seem to wake up.
My dreams are mostly "compensation dreams", dreams for things which I'm lacking in the real world. But what if this thing we call reality is just a dream from another "base reality" like a role-playing video game that entertains us because this "base reality" is so lacking?
On this premise I have one thing to add. If we are all in this game then we must be completely alone in our base reality since in this game we are all a player in, we are continuously striving to make connections with others so that we don't feel alone. Is our true existence one of complete solitude where others exist but we no longer can connect to them without this game we call "Reality Earth"?

It's a commie plot
OK, maybe I'm being a little paranoid but when communism and the wall both crumbled years ago I always thought it was just a little too convenient. I suppose that most American's felt communism was a failed concept so it was easy for them to swallow. But when I heard Alan Greenspan talking on NPR the other day, it made me think maybe I wasn't being so paranoid.
Greenspan said that we've had housing bubbles in more than two dozen countries and that everybody's long-term rates have gone down. He said , "Certain things are happening in the world which are affecting central banks, have affected central banks, essentially because of the extraordinary forces of globalization that arose subsequent to the end of the Soviet Union."
Is it possible that the USSR orchestrated this from the beginning just to make the US collapse financially? Is Russia now helping things along by supporting the Iraq war so that we will spend billions on it? What's this, Russia is not allowing political challengers to the current government to become official candidates? Is the USSR still alive and well in Russia?
... naah, I've just got to learn to control my paranoia.
