OK, maybe I'm being a little paranoid but when communism and the wall both crumbled years ago I always thought it was just a little too convenient. I suppose that most American's felt communism was a failed concept so it was easy for them to swallow. But when I heard Alan Greenspan talking on NPR the other day, it made me think maybe I wasn't being so paranoid.
Greenspan said that we've had housing bubbles in more than two dozen countries and that everybody's long-term rates have gone down. He said , "Certain things are happening in the world which are affecting central banks, have affected central banks, essentially because of the extraordinary forces of globalization that arose subsequent to the end of the Soviet Union."
Is it possible that the USSR orchestrated this from the beginning just to make the US collapse financially? Is Russia now helping things along by supporting the Iraq war so that we will spend billions on it? What's this, Russia is not allowing political challengers to the current government to become official candidates? Is the USSR still alive and well in Russia?
... naah, I've just got to learn to control my paranoia.
Just a thought...
